Apprenticeships that launch real careers

Combine paid work with structured study. Gain industry skills, recognised qualifications and a foot on the career ladder — all without student debt.

How apprenticeships work

An apprenticeship blends practical, on-the-job training with off-the-job study. You are a paid employee from day one, working alongside experienced colleagues while building the knowledge, skills and behaviours your role demands.

  • Be an employee earning a wage with full holiday entitlement
  • Work alongside experienced staff in a real workplace
  • Develop job-specific skills mapped to a national standard
  • Protected time for training, coaching and study
  • Finish with a recognised qualification and often a permanent role

Apprenticeships typically run from 12 months to 5 years depending on level and sector.
